The race was won from the break. Hekman (A&F) and Dickey (Mercy) bridged up to the break then attacked on the final climb. Dickey took the stage and the yellow jersey. Tim Swain (A&F) took over the KOM jersey and Hekman holds the sprinters green jersey.

Actually I took Hekman's word for it. In his blog he stated that he took the yellow jersey. I assumed that meant that he actually had it in his possesion. I'll try to clear that up.
Usually, when there is a tie on GC, the tiebreaker goes to the most number of firsts, then seconds, thirds, etc. Using that protocol would give Dickey the lead, as he has a first, and Hekman does not.

Hekman just posted on his blog that he found out he isn't the GC leader eventhough he was presented with the yellow jersey following yesterdays stage. OOps.
